Under the direction of the Vice-President of Academics, the Alumni & Career Services (ACS) department helps students prepare for and transition into successful careers as alumni. Partnering with Self-Reliance Services Managers of the LDS Church, church leaders, employers, and alumni themselves, ACS department staff help students chart a course for their lives which incorporates academic, spiritual, family, community, and career-related goals. As students graduate and join the BYU–Hawaii Alumni Association, the ACS department continues to help them connect, network, and serve with their fellow 30,000 living alumni all around the world.
The Asia Pacific Career Conference is a four-day, annually recurring event focused on improving lives in the Asia Pacific through professional career development. Employers, students, faculty, and other expert professionals from across the region convene at one of earth’s most beautiful universities—BYU–Hawaii—to network with, learn from, and recruit one another into great jobs.
The conference is focused exclusively on the Asia Pacific, BYU–Hawaii’s targeted area of focus. Participating employers must have hiring demand within the region and are expected to recruit for positions therein only. All BYU–Hawaii students and faculty are welcome and expected to attend.
APCC 2019 will be held during the dates of March 6-9, 2019. Registration for participants of all types is now open! Confirm your spot here.
Conference attendees coming in from out of town are encouraged to stay at the beautiful Courtyard by Marriott Oahu North Shore hotel located adjacent to BYU–Hawaii. Discounted conference rates of $209/night can be secured here.
Are you interested in promoting your brand to thousands of students, faculty, and professionals who are passionate about improving lives in the Asia Pacific? Opportunities exist for you to do so during the conference. If you would like more information, email email@example.com, with the word “sponsorships” somewhere in the email title.
There is a handful of very generous and visionary people who feel strongly about helping BYU–Hawaii students obtain great employment in the Asia Pacific. They know BYU–Hawaii students are uniquely prepared to provide transformative leadership in the communities and chosen fields they become a part of after graduation. Accordingly, they have graciously donated money to help students close the gap created by the Pacific Ocean between those post-graduate job opportunities and the Hawaii-based university campus.
For APCC 2019, some of those funds will be used to bring employers to the students – to help offset the travel expenses of crucial APCC attendees who would not otherwise be able to attend the conference on their own.
If you are an employer hoping to attend APCC 2019, and you cannot afford to make the trip on your own budget, we invite you to apply to receive some of these funds by filling out the application form below. The form will take 15-20 minutes to complete.
