Seasiders Capture Titles

Davis, CA-Brigham Young University-Hawaii tennis players walked away with three of the four championships at the ITA West Regional tournament today. The Seasiders' Jan Krejci was a double winner as he won the men's singles title over his doubles partner Peter Madarassy and then teamed with Madarassy to take the doubles crown. In the women's singles final, Seasider Adrienn Hegedus outlasted teammate Amy Sun for the championship.

Krejci, who redshirted last year at BYU-Hawaii, completed his run through the tournament without losing a set, as did Hegedus, although her battle with Sun was tough. The final men's doubles match was the first close match for Krejci and Madarassy in the tournament.

The winners of the tournament advance to the ITA National Tournament.
