All grads are asked to complete a Graduate's Next Destination Survey just prior to graduation from BYU Hawaii. The brief questionnaire asks a single two-part question:
- Upon graduation from BYU Hawaii, is your next destination:
employment, graduate school, or other (full-time homemaker, mission,
change to F-2 visa status, technical or other training/education not
graduate school), and
- Details about the destination you selected (ie., for employment: do you
already have a job and if so, is it full time, part time, or self-employment and
give location; for graduate school, have you been accepted and if so, in what school and major and give location; for other, what will be your location?).
The survey can be completed in less than 2 minutes.
The online surveys are admininistered at each of the four graduation periods: April, June, August and December. Prospective graduates receive an email announcement containing the link to the online survey. Simply log-on and complete the brief questionnaire, then submit.
The statistical data compiled from the survey is utilized for university accreditation and assessment purposes. In addition, the university submits the aggregrate statistical data to a national benchmarking database maintained by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
