I. Portfolio
Create an electronic career portfolio to house essential artifacts, documents and information that will help you manage and showcase your credentials/qualifications for employment. VIEW PORTFOLIO SECTION.

Description:

  1. On the Portfolio page, follow the instructions to create a personal electronic portfolio.
  2. Create your portfolio.
  3. Document the URL link for your portfolio on the Record Sheet in your YCareers form storage section.

 

II. Job or Grad School
Be actively involved in the job search process or have accepted a job offer. OR be actively involved in the graduate school admission process or have been accepted to a program of study. OR designate "other" status such as full time homemaker, missionary, of F2 visa status and thus not seeking employment or graduate school at this time. Report your job offer or graduate school acceptance in the Report a Hire section of YCareers.

Description: Record job offers or graduate school admission in your YCareers account in the space designated to report a hire.

 

III. Grad Survey
Report your "next destination" (ie., employment, graduate school, or "other") on the Graduate Next Destination Survey distributed to graduates at the end of your final semester/term. This information is reported in aggregate as placement and graduate school acceptance percentages and is reported to a national database for universities and used for benchmarking and assessment purposes.

The survey has only two primary questions: (1) Is your next destination after graduation a. employment, b. graduate school or c. other, and (2) Have you already secured employment or been admitted to graduate school ?You are also asked to share the name and location of your employment or grad school and the job title or field or study. The survey takes less than 3 minutes to complete.

Description:

  1. The Next Destination Survey will be distributed to you via email from the Institutional Research office during the last month prior to completion of studies at BYU Hawaii.
  2. Complete the survey and submit.
