Since construction began across BYU–Hawaii’s campus, change has become a shared experience for departments university-wide. This new chapter highlights student creativity as they introduce the newest addition to BYU–Hawaii: The Shore.

Elder Frederic Riemer, a 1997 BYU–Hawaii graduate from Tahiti, now serves as an Area Seventy and Leader Support Manager for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in French Polynesia. With a degree in information systems and a minor in business management, his journey reflects the Lord’s hand guiding him from his mission to his education and into lifelong service.

Born in China, raised in Canada, and educated in Hawaii, Joy Tang’s journey to BYU–Hawaii spans continents and cultures. Now graduating with a degree in business management and marketing, Tang credits her time at the university with shaping both her professional direction and her faith.
